Uzmanlar İşitme Cihazları is a hearing aid centre on Tunus Caddesi in Kavaklıdere, Çankaya. It was licensed by the Ankara Provincial Health Directorate on 24 March 2023 under document number 357. The founding audiologist is Mehmet Ali Onbaşıoğlu, who graduated in Audiology from Bezmiâlem Vakıf University in 2018 and holds the Clinical Practice Certificate (2018-075) of Hacettepe University Hospital, a JCI-accredited institution. A second audiologist, Dilem Eylül Arslan, works alongside him.
Service in English, Arabic and Russian is available by appointment. Please state your language when you call or message, so the right time can be set aside. This is not a translation service — it is simply how we make sure you are understood properly.
What we do
- Hearing aid application (fitting) — programming the device to your hearing, with adjustment over the following weeks
- Real-ear measurement (REM) — verification with an Interacoustics Callisto unit, so the setting is measured in your own ear rather than assumed
- Repair and maintenance — in our own workshop, for all brands, including devices bought elsewhere
- Battery replacement for rechargeable devices, and supply of standard hearing aid batteries
- Custom earmoulds and ear plugs — for hearing aids, swimming, noisy workplaces, musicians and sleep
- Follow-up — annual checks, reprogramming, troubleshooting
What we do not do
Our centre does not perform diagnostic audiometry, ENT examination, hearing tests for a driving licence or for employment, medical board reports, prescriptions, or vestibular (balance) testing.
These are carried out at state hospitals, university hospitals and other public health institutions. If you need a report or a prescription, that is where you should start. We can help once you have it.
The measurement we perform in the centre is for fitting purposes — it tells the device what to do. It is not a diagnosis and it does not replace one.
Brands
We are an authorised dealer in Turkey for Signia (WS Audiology) and ReSound (GN Group).
For other brands — Phonak, Oticon, Widex, Unitron, Rexton, Bernafon, Starkey and others — we are not an authorised dealer or authorised service. We do offer an independent audiologist service for them: fitting checks, REM verification, programme adjustment, user training and troubleshooting. If you already own one of these devices, you are welcome; we simply state the relationship honestly rather than implying one that does not exist.
Trying a device before you commit
For Signia and ReSound devices we offer a 14-day home trial. This is our own commitment, not a legal right of withdrawal — Turkish consumer law does not grant a withdrawal right for face-to-face purchases, and we would rather say that clearly than let you assume otherwise.

There is no home or office service. All fitting, adjustment and verification is done at the centre, because it needs the equipment and a quiet room.
Visits are by appointment
If you would prefer to be seen in English, Arabic or Russian, please say so when you book so we can arrange the right time. Walk-in visits cannot be served in a foreign language.

Do you speak English?

Can you test my hearing?
Not for diagnostic purposes. Diagnostic audiometry and medical reports are carried out at state and university hospitals. The measurement we perform is for fitting a device, not for diagnosis.
I am not covered by Turkish social security. Can I still come?
Yes. SGK contribution requires Turkish social security cover, so without it the purchase is private. Repair, adjustment, verification and earmould services do not depend on SGK at all.
Can you repair a device I bought in another country?
In most cases yes. Repairs are done in our own workshop and typically take about a week. Bring the device and, if you have them, its charger and any documents.
