Mehmet Ali Onbaşıoğlu
Mehmet Ali Onbaşıoğlu graduated in Audiology in 2018. The clinical practice part of his training was completed at Hacettepe University Hospital, an institution accredited by Joint Commission International (JCI), and is recorded in Clinical Practice Certificate no. 2018-075, dated 3 July 2018. The accreditation belongs to the hospital; the certificate records the clinical training he completed there.
He has worked as an audiologist since 2018 and has run his own centre in Kavaklıdere since 2023. Over the years he has taken part in more than 14 national and international congresses, symposia and scientific meetings — most recently the IFOS World Congress 2026 in Istanbul (September 2026), the 2nd Symposium on Scientific Research in Audiology (February 2026) and the 4th International Congress of the Mirko Tos Hearing Research Center (October 2025). He is a member of OKSUD, the Turkish association of audiologists and speech disorders specialists.
Areas of work
- Older adults — fitting hearing aids for people over 60, with time set aside for practice at home and, where the person wishes, a family member present at the appointment.
- Children — hearing aid fitting for children after the diagnosis and report have been made at a hospital, following paediatric fitting protocols with ear-specific measurements.
- Tinnitus alongside hearing loss — when ringing in the ears comes together with hearing loss, it is discussed as part of the fitting. The cause of tinnitus must be investigated by an ENT specialist; we do not diagnose or treat it.
- Newer devices — programming of recent hearing aids that use machine-learning sound processing, with verification in the ear rather than relying on the software's first estimate.
Dilem Eylül Arslan
Dilem Eylül Arslan graduated from the Audiology programme at Trakya University in 2024 at the top of her class (3.7/4) and has been studying for a master's degree in Audiology at Hacettepe University since 2025. At the centre she works on hearing aid fittings, with a particular interest in age-related hearing loss (presbycusis).
When a case is complicated, both audiologists look at it together.
How we work
- Independent centre. We are not part of a hospital, a chain or a manufacturer. We are an authorised dealer for Widex, Signia and ReSound; for several other brands we provide fitting and service.
- Measured, not guessed. Settings are checked with real-ear measurement (REM) in your own ear.
- Time to decide. Widex, Signia and ReSound devices can be tried at home for 14 days before you commit. This is our own commitment, not a legal right of withdrawal — Turkish consumer law does not grant one for face-to-face purchases.
- Clear limits. We do not perform diagnostic hearing tests, ENT examinations, medical reports or prescriptions — those are done at state and university hospitals. Our work starts once you have a report, or when you already own a device that needs attention.
Seeing us in English. Please call or send a message before you come and say that you would like the appointment in English, so that the right time can be set aside. Tell us whether it is about a new device, a device you already own, or a repair.
Frequently asked questions
Is the audiologist a doctor?
No. An audiologist is a licensed health professional who fits, verifies and follows up hearing aids. Medical diagnosis and treatment of ear conditions belong to ENT physicians.
Will the same person see me each time?
Usually yes. Your follow-up visits are planned with the audiologist who fitted your device, and both audiologists can see your records if one is unavailable.
Can you look after a hearing aid I bought abroad?
Often, yes — cleaning, parts and checks are possible for most brands, and programming depends on the brand. See repair and service.
