Before you come
Do I need a hospital report first?
If you want Turkish social security to contribute, yes, and it must come from a state or university hospital — the report is what establishes cover. If you are buying privately you are not obliged to hold one, but a medical evaluation is still the sensible first step, because amplification is the wrong answer to some causes of hearing loss.
Do you carry out hearing tests?
Not diagnostic ones. Our centre does not perform diagnostic audiometry, does not issue medical reports or prescriptions, and does not provide driving-licence or pre-employment hearing tests. Those belong to hospitals, and the boundary is set by regulation rather than by preference. What we do carry out is measurement for fitting purposes and real-ear verification of the device in your own ear.
Do you speak English, Spanish, Arabic or Russian?
Appointments in these languages are arranged in advance. Spanish is provided with the help of our interpreter. We cannot guarantee a foreign language for a walk-in visit, so please write or call first and we will book a time when the language is covered.
How long does the first appointment take, and what should I bring?
Between sixty and ninety minutes. Bring your audiology report if you have one, your current hearing aids and charger if you own any, and — if possible — the person you speak with most at home. There is a specific reason for the last one: a familiar voice is the reference your ears know best, and having that person in the room makes the comparison meaningful instead of theoretical.
Money, trial and warranty
Why is there no price list anywhere on this site?
Because publishing device prices in marketing material is outside what a hearing aid centre in Turkey may do. We give you a written calculation for your own hearing loss instead, and you are free to take it away and compare it. The costs page explains both payment routes in full.
Can I try a device before buying it?
Yes — a fourteen-day home trial. It is our own commitment as a centre rather than a statutory right of withdrawal, and the reason it exists is that a quiet consulting room tells you very little about how a device behaves in your kitchen or at a dinner table.
How long is the warranty?
Devices sold in Turkey fall under Consumer Protection Law no. 6502, which sets a minimum of two years. Manufacturers may give more and the term varies by model, so we do not attach a single figure to a brand name. Your exact term is written on the warranty certificate you receive at delivery.
Do you sell online or ship abroad?
No. Distance selling of hearing aids to consumers is not permitted in Turkey. Everything, including the trial, happens at the centre.
Devices you already own
I bought my hearing aid in another country. Can you service it?
In most cases yes. The workshop is on site and handles all brands — cleaning, wax filters, domes, tubing, drying treatment and repair. Software adjustment depends on the manufacturer licence for that platform, so we check that first rather than promise and then retract. Bring the device, and the charger and paperwork if you still have them.
My device stopped working. Is it broken?
Usually not. A blocked wax filter, a spent battery or overnight damp accounts for most of these visits, and all three are resolved while you wait. Looking at a device and telling you what is wrong does not carry a separate charge; the cost of an actual repair is given in writing before any work starts.
Can I get batteries and domes without an appointment?
Yes. Consumables for all brands are kept in stock and you can simply come in. Details are on the batteries and parts page.
The fitting itself
What is real-ear measurement and why does it matter?
A thin probe microphone placed in your ear canal, beside the hearing aid, measures the sound pressure actually reaching your eardrum and compares it with the prescription target calculated from your audiogram. Two ear canals never behave identically, so the software’s prediction and the reality differ. We use an Interacoustics Callisto system, we do this for every brand we fit, and you may ask for the printout.
One hearing aid or two?
If both ears have a usable loss, two is normally the audiological answer, because direction and speech separation in noise depend on the brain comparing the two sides. There are real exceptions, and cost is a legitimate consideration. It is decided from your report and your daily listening, not as a default.
Will people notice it?
Less than the alternative. In practice what people notice is a conversation repeated three times, not a device the size of a coffee bean behind an ear. That said, discretion is a genuine preference and there are styles built for it; the brands and styles page sets out the trade-offs honestly.
Practical matters
Do you come to homes, offices or care homes?
No. Every service is carried out at the centre address. This is a regulatory boundary, not a matter of willingness.
Where are you and how do I get there?
Tunus Caddesi, Levent Apt. No: 9/9, second floor, Kavaklıdere, Çankaya. It is a ten to fifteen minute walk from Kızılay, the nearest bus stop is Esat Dörtyol at about seven minutes, and the building has a lift. Full directions and the map links are on the contact page.
Send your report, get the figure in writing
If you already hold an audiology report, send a photograph of it on WhatsApp and tell us whether it is for one ear or both. We reply with a written breakdown — what your cover pays, if anything, and what is left for you. No number-chasing on the phone.
The document you send is used only to prepare your calculation. Foreign-language appointments are arranged in advance; Spanish is provided with an interpreter and cannot be guaranteed for walk-in visits.
